What We Do

With over thirty years of corporate marketing experience, we understand how difficult it is to obtain quality, dramatic imagery on a budget. At best, it is a daunting, resource, and time-intensive process.

We established our company to offer a better commercial and private custom imagery source from a single, convenient supplier.

Why It Matters

Our marketing experience and listening to local enterprises made us appreciate that affordable promotional imagery, although essential for running a successful business, is hard to come by. Top-tier creators produce great imagery, but their processes and equipment are more than what is required for most work.

We invested in and aligned our equipment, technology, and processes to produce fantastic imagery within a cost-effective budget that exceeds the needs of most projects using an easy-to-engage 4-step process.

Davinci Video Editing - Absolute Imagery
  • When is the best time to take MLS and real estate imagery?
The same conditions apply to MLS and real estate imagery capture as those for aerial drone imagery, especially regarding outdoor imagery. However, indoor imagery is generally more impervious to outside weather conditions and the time of day. For example, bright sunlight shining through windows and artificial light is managed through staged lighting, high dynamic range (HDR) shooting techniques, camera setups, and post-production editing.
  • What is HDR imagery?
HDR, or high dynamic range imagery, adds vibrance and depth to your imagery. At a high level, HDR takes a sequence of photographs of the subject under different exposure settings. A sequence of images that are under-exposed to capture very bright areas at the “correct” exposure and overexposed to capture darker areas are taken. They are then combined in post-production into a single vivid image. This type of imagery is ideally suited to subjects that remain relatively motionless during the photo capture, as the sequence of images occurs over a period, usually several seconds, like MLS, property, and landscape images.
  • What is the difference between timelapse and hyperlapse videos?
Timelapse videos are a sequence of photographs taken over an extended period combined to make a video. An example of this we have all seen is a blossoming flower bud. Hyperlapse is similar to timelapse but requires that the camera move as well. A great example is hyperlapse drone imagery, which takes photographs while tracking the moving subject. Contact us to learn more about how we can capture business in action with a hyper-lapse video.
  • When is the best time to take aerial drone and outside photography and videos?
As with all camera imagery, we are “painting with light,” so the quality of the available light is critical to the final result, especially for imagery that seeks to capture or enhance mood or visual effects. As such, the best time of day is earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon when the harsh shadows, contrast, and haze of the mid-day sun are at their lowest and vibrant colors are at their height. Sunlight and weather have a direct bearing on the image experience. Surprisingly, overcast days, for example, are often great image-capturing days as the palette of colors is well displayed and lends itself to post-production enhancement if required. Similarly, nighttime imagery tends to create vibrant color contrasts well. Of course, events and time-sensitive situations require imagery capture under the prevailing conditions. Under these circumstances, the best approach to mitigating difficult lighting conditions is to use a professional photographer who applies their experience and various capture and post-production techniques to realize the whole perceived experience.
  • Are there any special considerations associated with aerial imagery?
Yes, as you may suspect, weather, especially rain, snow, ice, and strong winds, limits imagery-taking flights. We adhere closely to FAA regulations and laws that require aerial imagery to be taken by a pilot with FAA Part 107 certification for commercial use. Further, FAA requirements limit or prohibit flights in controlled airspace. Please get in touch with us so we can explore your particular circumstances and identify and remedy any challenges associated with an aerial imagery approach.
  • Do you offer a service guarantee?
Guarantees within the creative space are, by nature, difficult to define. So, we pledge to deliver the agreed-upon imagery defined during the consultation or, for more complex work, the deliverables defined by the agreed-upon statement of work. Key aspects of this agreement include delivering the imagery in the required format when necessary and, most importantly, a commitment to continue working on the project until you are satisfied that the imagery is fit for purpose.
  • Which markets do you support?
We create and deliver real estate, property management, commercial and residential inspection, small businesses, and private individuals with tailored marketing, inspection, event, and record-keeping imagery.
  • What payment types do you accept?
We are set up to accept checks and direct wire transfers, Paypal, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards.
  • What should I expect when I engage with you?
Our projects vary dramatically in size and complexity. An MLS shoot may take 24 hours from shooting to electronic delivery of the final images, whereas an involved project may take significantly longer. Such projects require a discovery meeting with you to define the scope of work, stakeholders, locations, and deliverables, which we will agree upon and document in the work statement before work starts.
  • How long will my imagery take to create?
Creation time varies depending on the project. Real estate MLS imagery is usually required quickly and follows a template approach to creation, so it is delivered the fastest, usually within 24 hours. Complex videos may take a week or longer to get to the proof stage after capturing the initial footage.
  • What imagery services do you offer?
Based in Nashua and Newmarket, NH, we produce custom high-resolution imagery for the New England business community to use on their websites, social media, and other promotional channels. Using our airborne (drone), 360-degree, and traditional cameras, studio lighting, and audio equipment, we capture your business's essence and make it stand out through fine imagery. Additionally, our airborne platforms have multiple high-fidelity cameras that see things more vividly, enabling us to perform detailed aerial inspections.
  • Do you have full insurance?
Yes, we maintain complete professional, property, and liability insurance that protects us and our customers onsite and in the field.
  • Who owns my imagery copyright?
We are the creators of the imagery and own the copyright. As our customer, you are granted indefinite use of the imagery for as long as it remains used for the original purpose and is not heavily edited or repurposed. We license and embed music and support stock imagery through Envato, giving you broad commercial use rights in your domain.
  • What format will my files be in?
We shoot our videos and photography in RAW for the highest detail and color-grading capability. The imagery files we send you will be in the format you require. The most common file formats are JPEG for photography and MP4 for video files. Each file will be formatted using the agreed-upon aspect ratio and resolution, often 4:3, 5-8MB for MLS imagery and 16:9, 4K for video files. Our translators and compression tools can quickly produce just about any other format, aspect ratio, and resolution—you just have to ask.
  • What is the cost of your service?
We offer a broad range of services and are transparent by indicating each essential service cost on our website. Projects that require extensive editing, complex or distant shooting locations, brand integration, and filmed interviews tend to increase project costs. Near locations, routine editing, and post-production using existing templates do not affect the essential service cost.
  • How will you get my imagery files to me?
We will send your files to you as required. Many of these files, especially high-resolution video files, are large. As such, most customers like us to use WeTransfer or thumb drives to deliver their imagery quickly.
  • What are the primary cameras and post-production editing software you use?
CAMERAS (All shoot video and photo) · Canon EOS R6 Mark II digital mirrorless camera · 2x Canon EOS 7D Mark II digital SLR cameras · 2x DJI Mavic 3 Pro FAA Category II UAS (drones) with 24 (Hasselblad), 70, and 166mm optical lens cameras · DJI Mini 3 Pro FAA Category I UAS (drone) with fixed optical lens camera · Ricoh Theta X 360-camera · Insta360 X3 360-camera PRIMARY EDITING SOFTWARE Videography: · Blackmagic DaVinci Studio with MotionVFX plugins · Insta360 Studio · Movavi Video Converter Photography: · Adobe Lightroom with Photomatix plugin · Adobe Photoshop · Kuula Virtual Tours · Canva Visual Suite
  • What are the FAA’s requirements for taking aerial drone imagery?
First, drone imagery must be taken by a Pilot in Command (PIC) with FAA Title 14, Part 107 certification for commercial use. This is an FAA requirement - without this requirement, drone imagery cannot be used for any form of commercial use, regardless of financial compensation. Further, the FAA imposes safety requirements that generally fall into two categories: weather conditions and restricted air space. The FAA requires that drone operations abide by defined weather conditions, limitations, and operating requirements, including 3+ miles of visibility, cloud cover above 500ft and not covered, direct line of sight with the aircraft, and a maximum flight altitude of 400ft above the ground. Although not specified by the FAA, in practical situations, excessive air moisture fogs drone cameras, quickly degrading their image-capturing ability, and videos undertaken on very windy days, especially those close to the subject or using hyperlapse/timelapse techniques, may become choppy. FAA airspace restrictions include airports, open-air assemblies, federal parks, government installations, and other critical infrastructures and special use areas. Flying in or near these places is restricted and illegal without specific permission. Absolute Imagery, LLC drone pilots are FAA Part 107 certified. Contact us so we can advise you better about your particular situation.
  • Are my files safe and secure?
Absolutely yes. We maintain all imagery and customer files on our secure local area network, with double backup and indefinite storage retention. We can also copy the files to secure third-party cloud services upon request.
  • What is and why is an FAA-certified drone pilot so important for drone imagery?
The FAA requires that an FAA-certified Title 14, Part 107 pilot in command take any drone imagery used for commercial purposes. Commercial imagery is classified as any imagery that is not recreational. Any imagery taken by a drone by a non-certified pilot may only be used for personal use. If that same imagery is used for any commercial use, regardless of financial gain, the drone pilot must be Part 107 certified.
  • Why is full professional and liability insurance important for your imagery supplier?
Insurance may seem like an afterthought, but it is a critical component of a reputable imagery creator’s portfolio that gives the user peace of mind. Content is rigorously scrutinized and evaluated for copyright and IP compliance by customers, web-based search bots, and other interested parties. The knowledge that the content you are using is intellectual property (IP) free and clear and has the additional indemnity of the supplier’s professional liability assurance enables you to use your imagery confidently. Further, if your imagery supplier has full liability insurance, you can engage with them on your premises and offsite, knowing that they and you are fully insured for any unforeseen accidents or other eventualities that they may have caused. Absolute Imagery, LLC has full professional and liability insurance.
  • How do you handle data privacy?
We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality and security of your personally identifiable information. We will not sell or offer your data or imagery to any other party.
